One of the most famous ćevapi restaurants in Baščaršija, on Kundurdžiluk Street. Sarajevo ćevapi in somun bread with onions, accompanied by yogurt.

Aščinica Hadžibajrić
The oldest traditional restaurant (aščinica) in Baščaršija, a family tradition since 1860. Homemade cooked dishes according to old recipes; come before noon, as it closes when dishes sell out.

Buregdžinica Bosna
A favorite burek shop in Bravadžiluk, about a hundred meters from the City Hall (Vijećnica). Burek, cheese pie, spinach pie, and potato pie, ideal for breakfast.

Bosnian cuisine restaurant in a house that, according to legend, was moved stone by stone to the other bank of the Miljacka. Opposite the City Hall.

Baščaršija i Sebilj
Old bazaar from the 15th century with the wooden Sebilj fountain, craft alleys, and cafes. Right in the center, most beautiful early in the morning or at dusk.

Gazi Husrev-begova džamija
The most important Ottoman mosque in Bosnia and Herzegovina, built in 1531 in Baščaršija. Open to visitors outside prayer times, and the courtyard with the fountain is always open.

Latinska ćuprija
Ottoman stone bridge on the Miljacka river where Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated in 1914. On the corner is the Sarajevo Museum 1878-1918, five minutes from Baščaršija.

Vijećnica
Pseudo-Moorish building from 1896 at the end of Baščaršija, burned in 1992 and restored in 2014. Inside is a lavish lobby and exhibitions; entry fee applies.
